In this charming bouquet, Debbie Hemingway combines bright parrot and 'Golden Artist' tulips which seem to vie for attention. The feathery petals of the tulips are edged in a wide band of yellow that is highlighted by vibrant ranunculuses. The handle is finished with striped pastel ribbon and three simple buttons. Flower girl Grace Dieterle peeks from behind a mini bouquet in the same sunny hues.

Debbie Hemingway combines apricot parrot tulips in a loose arrangement with brilliant double 'Monte Carlo' and 'Texas Gold' varieties for a garden party reception at the Bayer Estate. Sandra Williams selected a table linen in classic yellow and navy to ground the floral display in vivid summer hues.

Cake designer Katrina Nazareth designed two dainty fondant cakes in keeping with the color scheme, each crowned with a splendid array of blooms.

Flower girl Grace Dieterle is precious in a green dress to match her beautiful eyes.

A single floating apricot parrot tulip and place cards pinned with vintage buttons add a touch of whimsy to each setting.

Showy tangerine ranunculuses work in concert with the frilly petals of the yellow tulip flowers in this dazzling bouquet. In lieu of ribbon, Honolulu florist Debbie Hemingway embellished the handle with wood veneer paper, giving the flowers center stage.

Stacey Nomura of Bradley and Lily Fine Stationery created an exquisite invitation suite depicting a graceful tulip print commissioned in the 1790s by Robert John Thornton for his The Temple of Flowers. Thorton was an English physician who left his practice to pursue his lifelong passion for botany. The bold stripes of the tulip petals leap off the muted landscape, upon which Stacey cleverly inset a frame for the invitation text to represent a bird’s eye view of the tulip. The same frame becomes the pattern for the envelope liner and the reverse side of the place cards. The coloring of the liner suggests the hand-dyed effect of batik fabric.

A plethora of colors and varieties make the tulip a versatile and popular choice among brides. This petite bouquet created by Fong Tagawa was fashioned after a beautiful kimono, perhaps a nod to the designer's Chinese heritage. Delicate green variegated tulips and silver lace Dusty Miller are wrapped in embroidered Shantung silk to echo a Mandarin collar design.

Honolulu florist Terrie Easley designed this enchanting bouquet, a collection of pastel parrot tulips, yellow ranunculuses, purple lisianthus and orange freesia. This bouquet is the epitome of spring with its sweet lilac fragrance and fresh-from-the-garden appeal.

This magnificent assembly of black parrot tulips and mini 'Schwarz' calla lilies was created by Debbie Hemingway. The stems of the flowers are encased in contrasting raw-edged silk to highlight the brilliant color of the flowers. An antique jade button is a final couture touch of craftsmanship for which Debbie is well known.

A bundle of ruffled lavender tulips is punctuated by jade roses and green hydrangea. The stems are bound with variegated hala leaves, satin ribbon and an heirloom brooch that once belonged to Terrie's grandmother.

Fong Tagawa composed this bouquet of white 'Leen Van Der Mark' tulips streaked with intense fuchsia. She delightfully added small snips of kale as an accent. Calathea leaves serve as a natural ribbon for the handle and appear to be hand painted in varied shades of green.
