I recently produced a photo shoot and the editor of a well-known wedding blog pointed out the strong editorial feel and visual story telling approach of the shoot. It struck me to put together a look book for my event design company Lotus Blanc to serve as  visual  guide to inspire the bride's that I  work with. The project combined my passion for event styling and love of creative direction. A few short months later, "Garden Meadow" was realized.

We drew inspiration from effortless  bohemian fashion and vintage romance. The idea was to evoke the mood of a rustic lifestyle on the prairie encompassing a romantically chic vintage wedding, while also incorporating practical design ideas. I contacted my amazingly talented friends and mother and daughter photograhy team, Tania + Jojo in Northern California, and as luck would have it they were actually shooting a wedding in Los Angeles that same week. When the stars align, you know its just right!

Soft candle light, a pale color story, touches of lavender and the most gorgeous personal heirloom vintage collectibles made for a dreamy shoot. We sourced a lovely stationery suite from Wedding Paper Divas and I designed the florals (white French tulips, silver Brunia berries, garden roses, Misty Blue and dried lavender) to match the invitations. Town and Country Event Rentals supplied a charming set of vintage wrought- iron folding chairs (that weren't so fun to carry trekking up on the hills--note to brides, outsource logistics!). Our bride against the glowing backlit sunset in her gorgeous Aria Bridal gown and a Lotus Blanc bouquet in tow would make even the most cynical of anti-brides swoon.
