Maui-based wedding photographer Caitlin Cathey teamed up with the lovely wedding planners of VOWS Maui to create this elegant, bohemian scene. Local floral designer Dellables utilized whimsical pampas grass and gold-covered sprigs to enhance the mystical theme of the design.
"The amazing Haiku Mill on Maui's North Shore is described as Old-World Europe meets Hawaiian Natural Splendor. For this look - what we coined 'Boho Euro' - our talented team of artists channeled this venue's theme with an added touch of bohemian whimsy. With the awe inspiring backdrop of the ruins covered in vines, and the high-end decor of the Mill, we couldn't go wrong. We have seen glam and wow at this venue, but an organic and ethereal bride can absolutely vibe with the historic jungle setting."
"Raw elements were used throughout with pampas grass as the star. Metal accents balanced the organic designs, and the place setting details were in grey and gold. Unexpected white, lantern tiles (just from your local home improvement store!) were used for the place cards-- mimicking the European lines of our props. The block font menu atop a perfect shade of blue napkin also added a modern touch."
