It's safe to say it has been the year of the flower crown, especially for the destination wedding set. Native Hawaiians traditionally adorned their head with leis made of native plants, flowers, shells or feathers. Today, it is not uncommon to see modern floral crowns known as "haku lei" for special occasions. We're so excited to share five exotic flower crowns composed in Maui, Hawaii by floral designer Nicole of Bella Bloom Floral Boutique. She incorporated vibrant orchids and stunning greenery in the designs you see here, captured by photographer Mykle Coyne.

Below: This wild collection of green cymbidium orchids, bear grass, fuchsia mokara orchids and craspedia will make a bold statement.
