We first discovered Philadelphia-based designer Danielle Kroll through her lovely illustrations for Anthropologie. The lifestyle brand continues to keep us inspired with their incredibly offbeat styling, bold patterns and coffee-book-worthy catalogues. Danielle’s portfolio has a similar sensibility: cheeky, polished and most of all, fun. We especially like her blog column, What I Wore Today. Danielle says of her rendering below, “My grandma gave me this necklace when I was little. I kept it safely tucked away in my jewelry box for probably ten years before I felt mature enough to wear it. And yes, those are tiger earrings.”

We love the handwritten type design on this invitation that Danielle created for a wine tasting event that took place in on Anthropologie’s UK stores. And below is a small graphic that she made for Anthropologie’s employee appreciation time— would make for a lovely wedding invitation palette.

The series of illustrations done for a cold weather promotion, above, are favorites. The styling is perfectly autumn and throw a cute little pup into the mix and we’re happy. Danielle’s concept and type design for a beauty newsletter is soft and feminine. The use of beauty tools as type is quite clever.
