On March 24th, we joined forces with the fabulous Sylvia Hamilton-Kerr, owner of the Haiku Mill, to invite Maui’s top wedding professionals to join us for cocktails and a bit of inspiration. Our theme was “Think Outside the Sandbox”, and I shared my personal insights on how we can all work together to stand out among an international class of wedding designers and vendors. Maui florist, Della Peacock of Dellables, worked her magic with the colorful centerpieces, a reception table idea featured in a previous story of Pacific Weddings®. The grounds of the Haiku Mill added to the vibrant display with orange vines exploding in full bloom all around the party. Chefs from Tommy Bahama were perhaps the highlight of the evening, serving up a scrumptious array of appetizers and my favorite dessert— the chocolate butterscotch pudding—seriously one of the most divine things I have ever tasted! Maui photographer, Kim Aihara, was there to capture these beautiful images–thank you so much Kim, Della, Sylvia and the Tommy crew!

It was such a great evening, and I was happy to share my journey of researching the social media front over the past ten months. Having worked in the industry for over a decade, I am still amazed at the level of talent and creativity in Hawaii. One thing we all agreed upon is that we really need to do this more often. I will be posting more fun images tomorrow…
