An Hermès-Inspired Wedding at Haiku Mill
Filed Under
cakes & confections, destination wedding sites, features, reception & catering, themes & color palettes

The ruins of the old Haiku Sugar Mill are a magical setting for a destination wedding in Maui.  Once a thriving enterprise back in the 1850s, the mill has been lovingly restored over the last twenty years into a kind of secret garden by present owner, Sylvia Hamilton-Kerr. She and her beau adored traveling through the south of France to gather antiques and amazing statues from Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

The mill was the perfect setting for our Hermès-inspired wedding reception. The luxurious citrus hue of the Hermès box stood out among the aged stone walls and lush greenery. A display of divine treats includes local gourmet chocolates from Big Island Candies and two French truffle cakes. Read the entire story from the Pacific Weddings Winter edition.
