

As a follow up to my post yesterday, I thought I would wrap up the week by making you hungry with these tempting Hawaiian appetizers and desserts. When considering your wedding menu, there is nothing quite like fresh island fish and zesty tropical fruit. We asked the chefs at Kauai Cuisine to come up with a variety of dishes to complement the vivid color palette and challenged them to incorporate the exotic flavors in each dish: papaya, mango, banana and pineapple. I can still taste the fabulous flavors, an amazing blend of the acidic, sweet essence of tropical fruits. I especially enjoyed the caramelized banana “pancake” with milk chocolate ice cream, liquid haupia and mint syrup. As locals say, “so ono”, which of course means delicious! Happy Aloha Friday ~robyn
