Out of all the stories we cover at Pacific Weddings®, real weddings are always a favorite. So, we’ve decided that the Winter/Spring 2011 edition will be dedicated to REAL WEDDINGS featuring hundreds of inspirational pictures and fresh ideas. Whether you are a bride-to-be or a talented photographer, we would love to hear from you! And while I don’t want to add to your already long list of things to do, I thought I would give you a few pointers on how to get published in Pacific Weddings®. Scroll down for all the details.
In the meantime, here’s a little eye candy from the fabulous Frank Amodo. He photographed the wedding of Lindsey and Pat at the glorious Haiku Mill in Maui. We look forward to hearing from you! xo~robyn

- The not-so-fine print
Things you need to know before you submit: Pacific Weddings will not accept any weddings that have been previously published, so please resist the temptation to share the photos ahead of time with other blogs and bridal magazines. Once we break the story, we don’t mind if you share the images. (It’s a journalism thing!)
- Anyone can submit
It doesn’t matter whether you are a bride, photographer, florist or the mother-of-the-bride, we want to hear from you!
- Email our art director, Halii Iaea, at halii@pacificweddings.com
Besides being exceptionally talented, he’s a really nice guy, and he reviews each and every one of the submissions we receive. You can simply email your names, wedding date and location, and a link to your photos. If they are not posted online, you can send us a few low resolution images and– Viola– the submission is under way.
- Give us your autograph
If your wedding is selected for publication (either online or in the magazine), you will be asked to complete a formal submission form which requires the signatures of the couple as well as a photographer’s release. You will also be required to fill out a brief and amazing description of your wedding details.
- The interview
An editor will then call you to get a personal account of your story so you can share the finer (juicy) details of your courtship and wedding day firsthand.
- Keep on sending
If you are a photographer who has submitted before, don’t be discouraged. We have more opportunities than ever to share your work via our blog, website and magazine. Besides, we love to support our fellow colleagues whenever we can, so send us all your best weddings, not just one.

Beautiful wedding. The brides bouquet is gorgeous and adds a wonderful pop of color. I love the last elements that bring together a fantastic photo in the last shot. The tree, lighting and open sky.. it makes a great shot.
