We love the style and feel of Dija and Robert’s engagement session captured on Maui by photographer Barry Frankel of Island Fresh Photography. Robert proposed to Dija during their visit to Maui and the couple just wed in Bora Bora. The day of their engagement session began with wind and rain in Kapalua but the clouds cleared offering up ideal photo shoot light. Dija wore a white chiffon shift dress from her favorite boutique in London paired with Christian Louboutin heels. Thank you for sharing with us, Barry!

Gorgeous pictures! Le couple et les couleurs sont pleins de vie ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well this is a diversion for us since we love a finely-frosted wedding cake here at Pacific Weddings. But we’ve been noticing unfrosted “naked” cakes all over Pinterest and are slowly coming around to the idea. Be careful in your search for “naked cake” as you may get more than sweet confections! It appears that New York City’s Momofuku Milk Bar has led the way in naked cake artistry. And of course San Francisco’s Miette Bakery’s darling unfrosted “tomboy cake” have party-goers raving. What do you think, cake lovers? Would you go for a naked cake on your wedding day? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Native Fijian’s Kathryn Jitoko and Seamus Chang’s wedding in Lami Bay, Fiji was full of lighthearted humor and love. “The ceremony was the highlight of the day for us,” says the bride. “Walking into the church and seeing our friends and family smiling back at us, some with tears of joy in their eyes…and finally being able to call each other husband and wife.” The wedding ceremony was in the groom’s family church in Laucala Bay, the same church where Seamus’s parent’s wed. The festivities continued with a lively reception at the Novotel Convention Centre in Lami Bay, featuring incredible local fare, live music, dancing and photo booth fun. The wedding décor featured bright pops of color in citrus tones. Despite an unexpected downpour, photographers Gitte Meeussen and Ropate Kama of Kama Catch Me Photography were able to capture the beauty of the celebration!

Thank you Mere for that lovely comment! x The kama’s ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() West Elm has new paper flowers and we think they’re a beautiful alternative to fresh flowers at a wedding. Just pick your bloom: quince, tulips, roses or poppies. Major plus? They’ll last forever.
