Casual wedding attire is obviously a popular choice among grooms today, especially those who have opted for a destination wedding. This is precisely why I encourage you to consider wearing a tuxedo—why would you want to look just like everyone else on your wedding day in a pair of khaki slacks and white shirt? As GQ magazine so aptly writes, “The fact is, you’ll never look better, more manly—more gentlemanly—than in a tuxedo.” The key is selecting a style that suits your sensibilities and fits “like a… suit of armor.” Read the entire story here. Hopefully it will inspire you to think beyond the basics and seize the moment. It’s your wedding day, after all–save the khakis for work.

I have seen too many wedding photos spoiled by the wrong watch. Ditch the sporty diver’s versions for a more elegant, streamlined style like the ones below. I also love the idea of wearing your grandfather’s favorite timepiece on the wedding day. Think of it as the “something old” or “something borrowed” for the groom.

There is something truly special about the Old Hollywood glamor of a white dinner jacket and it is especially appropriate in warm weather climates. Channel your best Humphrey Bogart for a sophisticated look.
