Via GQ: Brooks Brothers’s just announced their punchy new bow tie collaboration with K. Cooper Ray called “Social Primer for Brooks Brothers“. Ray’s website SocialPrimer.com, is a catchall resource for the style conscious groom. Ray speaks of the bow tie’s recent comeback in the GQ interview, “I’m not supposed to say this, but really…where else can a man be a peacock?! It’s one of the only ways to add whimsy to a man’s wardrobe.” I recently stumbled upon the bespoke bow ties of Michael Lamont (pictured in polk dots below) via his Etsy site. The bow tie is a fresh look for a groom who resists following the crowd. You’ll find some amazing prices on designer ties at tiedeals.com. I particularly like the daring Italian look of Emilio Pucci (the chainlink number below). I mean, why not encourage your groom’s inner peacock on this special day? xo ~robyn
p.s. I suggest forgoing the “prom date” look of matching the groomsmen ties. Allow them to choose a unique tie within your color palette instead.
