So often an ocean themed wedding is interpreted in seaglass blue and white, but our fashion shoot at Ko Olina Resort this issue tells a different color story. Today I composed a style sheet inspired by the amazing Hawaiian skies that fade from purple to lavender to muted shades of blue. I love how even the massive grey coast left behind from ancient lava flows takes on the same range of smoky purple hues. 1. Vera Wang‘s ethereal lavender gown; 2. Pearls by Tiffany & Co.,; 3. An ocean-inspired wedding bouquet by Debbie Hemingway; Ombre purple cake by Maggie Austin Cake; 4. UK florist Jane Packer’s simply pretty centerpiece in cobalt bottles surrounded by ocean elements.

Absolutely gorgeous… I’m a huge fan of mixing multiple shades of color for weddings!
