I am excited to be speaking at Jill La Fleur’s 1-Day Photography Workshop coming up in May in Santa Barbara, California. Jill is an incredibly talented wedding designer, and she has planned a lineup of industry greats who will share their marketing expertise. Photographers will have a chance to shoot alongside lensman Jose Villa to capture floral details by Camilla Svensson Burns and an invitation suite by Ceci New York. Everyone’s favorite wedding blogger, Abby Larson of Style Me Pretty, will give a one-hour live Q&A on “Using the Web to Build your Brand.” The stylish Ceci Johnson is flying in from New York to share tips on branding, her own marketing success and the importance of capturing the details. And cinematographer Joel Serrato of Joel Serrato Films will discuss his success story of building his business from the ground up. Brian Greenberg of Richard Photo Lab will wrap things up , presenting advice on client and vendor relationships and discussing printing techniques. It’s all happening at the fabulous Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, and Tiffany Emch, Catering Manager of Weddings & Social Events, will give participants an insider’s perspective on how to make it into a resort’s A-list of preferred photographers.
