Is it springtime yet? Last week Kate Spade New York debuted their Spring 2012 collection and to our delight, it was ripe with stripes, neon and a nod to the retro ’60s! Few people do bold patterns and black and white like Kate Spade. With this collection, she spins a classically prep look and palette in a whimsical and free-spirited way {the “Play Hooky” bag comes to mind}.

Kate shows us that black and white need not always be glam. It can be modern and retro at the same time. Did you notice the sly sunglasses in the woven hat?
We were happy to see that Kate’s signature poppy hue is still in rotation. Bright pops of coral appeared throughout the collection. Kate showed us that it’s quite alright to indulge your sweet tooth for breakfast, too.
Here, a sneak peek at the chic home line {macaroons and all}. We are inspired to dress an entire party in black and white with a dash of hot pink! xox Shaunna
