Vera Wang is perhaps every bride’s quintessential dream of wedded bliss. Her gowns have elicited gasps of delight from women around the world, and now she has opened the (David’s Bridal) door for literally thousands who thought they would never have the chance to walk the aisle in a Vera Wang. I was intrigued by a recent article I read (beautifully penned in Interview Magazine), in which Vera shares her feelings about making high fashion accessible, “…all the years I was designing, it frustrated me that I could reach so few women. Design is about point of view, and there should be some sort of woman or lifestyle or attitude in one’s head as a designer. So my being able to reach the masses was something that meant a great deal to me—especially for women who could never wear Vera Wang.” True to form, Vera is always one step ahead of the rest.  xo ~robyn

    Hello –

    I was extremely looking forward to the White line by Vera Wang!
    When I found out the release date was Feb 11th I called and made my appointment immediately at the David’s Bridal up in Danbury CT.
    I live in Staten Island NY, however, I was willing to take the trip because I figured it would be quieter up there and my future sister in law lives in CT and I wanted her to be there to see the dresses.

    So that Sunday Feb 13th myself and my two bridesmaid drove up to Danbury CT from Staten Island NY got to David’s Bridal at 2.45pm my appointment was at 3pm.. We waited a few minutes for a girl to come and take us in the back and when I asked about the dresses we were told that “They are not here” I was so disappointed what a waste of a day! And the people working there didn’t seem to care no apology nothing! We drove all the way up there for nothing! And I feel that this is a sign of how the whole wedding dress experience would be at David’s Bridal. I’m now I’m starting to look elsewhere.

    BTW I had called that store a few times asking about the dresses and when they would be in and I had told them that I was only coming to see the White by Vera Wang Collection!
