At first glance the clean lines of this “beach chic” table, designed by Pacific Aisles, belie its extraordinary details. Fine white ceramic sea urchin vases, delicately adorned with elegant phalaenopsis orchids sit atop a seafoam canvas of dupioni silk. Each place setting features white chargers and glass plates mimicking the urchin’s natural lines and bubbles. Place cards and menus designed to sit under glass bubble plates give each guest the sensation of looking through water to find their seat. A signature drink, the lychee martini, is garnished with a custom designed cocktail stirrer monogrammed with the couple’s initials. Sea urchin garlands strung with vintage ribbon are tied to backs of white chairs, with seat cushions covered in a burnt-out velvet fabric to reflect a water pattern.
